Tamil Nadu will follow guidelines while setting up court complexes
Chennai: Tamil Nadu government would follow the guidelines of Madras High Court in setting up new court buildings in the state and frequent agitations by lawyers for court complexes were unfair, law minister Durai Murugan said in the state Assembly."Tamil Nadu government cannot directly construct any new court premises. It would only follow instructions and guidelines of the high court to establish a court", law minister Durai Murugan said.
Referring to frequent agitations by lawyers requesting to construct new court buildings in their respective region, he said it was unfair to go in for such agitations since the state government could not decide itself on setting up new court buildings wherever it is required. It could only follow the high court guidelines and set up court complexes according to the financial position.
