LET US WORK FOR A TAMIL PRIME MINISTER ONE AND ONLY WAY

My dear peace loving Sri Lankans,

The one and only way in reconciliation with our Tamil people in Sri Lanka is according to my sincere beliefs are integrate with the Tamils and Muslims in our country and include them in a much more aggressive manner in the administration. One should not expect this process only on one way traffic. Both communities must realise that first and foremost thing is remove from their minds the misstrust carried over the centuries. Fifty per cent or may be ninety per cent of the Sinhalese may not agree with my proposal. But one must learn to think in terms of the Buddhist teachings, live and let live as well as considering under extenuating circumstances in much more human compassionate grounds.

We may not like to be called Indians. But fact remains whether we like it or not Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, Napolease, Bhutanes e and Sri Lankans are all of one race. That is we are all Indians. In broad spectrum terms we are all human.

PERUMAL AND EELAM FLAG

During President Premadasa’s time Perumal became the Chief Minister of Jaffna and hoisted the EELAM Flag and declared EELAM in Jaffna. How long did he survive after hoisting the EELAM flag? Soon Perumal had to flee the country.

If we try to find the answers to the question we will never find any time to reconciliation. My best answer is draw a line on the bad past and start up fresh with a clear mind to settle our differences. Enough is enough. We have wasted our valuable time in arguing and accusing others. We must win some and loose some. In conciliation we must forego some of those we hold on to. The life is too short to argue and argue. We want to see a happy ending in our life.

PRESIDENT RAJAPAKSE DECLAREING ONE NATION.

President Rajapakse declare that there is only one nation in Sri Lanka. That is Sri Lankans. There is no majority Sinhalese or minority Tamils,Muslims Burgers and Malays. So where is the problem? If Tamils are also Sri Lankans what is wrong in Douglas Devananda, Ananda Sangaree, Sampanthan, Karuna or Pillayan becoming the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka when Mahinda Rajapakse is the President. President, Prime minister and the Ministers are for all Sri Lankans and not for one particular community. Remove from the vocabulary the words Tamil community, Sinhalese community and etc. and insert the word Sri Lankan community.

ONE AND ONLY WAY

The fore going I believe is the one and only way of reconciliation with all the communities in Sri Lanka. Let us form a one nation and contribute our knowledge and skills to develop our country Sri Lanka.
