CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, would flag off the Chennai-Mangalore Central Superfast Express here on Tuesday.
The train, which will run thrice a week, would leave Chennai-Central on Tuesday evening, an official press release here said.
The Chief Minister would also flag off Jammu Tawi-Tirunelveli Bi-weekly Express (Extended from Madurai), Tirunelveli Bilaspur Weekly Express and Kanyakumari-Rameswaram tri-weekly express through video-conference, it said.
The Union Textiles Minister, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, the Union Minister of State for Railways, Mr E. Ahamed, and top government officials are expected to participate in the event, the release added. — PTI
